Yorkville NX20 Speaker Repair.
« on: October 31, 2010, 04:39:15 PM »
Good day!

So I took the crossover out and confirmed the problem, HF driver works and LF dosn't. I removed the 2 caps next to the failed resistor, that was already replaced, as they got hot when the resistor failed. They are ok. I pulled one end of the replaced resistor to confirm that it was not defective, its ok. I back tracked the curcuit board to an inductor coil. I was about to remove on end to test it and the wire was broken at the solder conection. To look at it it looked fine but there was no conection. After resoldering it the LF worked again and all is good.

Nice work Neil! Thanks for fixing what I had obviously overlooked. Thanks also to Don for his resistor replacement.
