does anyone have an extra rear lower plate for a 3.1???

shaver might. A 3.2 (not 3.2R) will work.

what i mean is i can only find a thick one..................i was looking at it and thinking mabye if i shim  the centre pivot ball correctly and made nessesary adjustments to  suspension...........dont you (or anyone) think it would work?

I wouldnt do it unless I had both thick chassis peices. It may work if you mickey mouse it but it is the most important part of the car.

I'm sure if you shim things correctly it'll work just fine.  The geometry doesn't care how thick a piece of graphite is.

As far as axle height goes, that is adjusted with ride-height adjustors anyway, and this adjustment done to compensate for tire wear will have a bigger effect on the geometry of the rear pod than a shim thickness.  Just make sure everything is tight and that the suspension moves freely (and of course that the pivot is centered), and you'll be fine.
