Ken if you need help modifing your T2 to fit I can help you. I just finished making a Trakpower 4900 fit.  The height is the problem. Anything over 23mm probably wont fit without making the bulkheads to weak.  The pack fits perfectly with alittle filing on the right read bulk head.  if you want I can email you some photos, or help you make the modifications.

They fit the same, you just dont have to remove as much material from the bulk head.

The 22mm, is that with or without the hard case? I would make sure the lipo is in a hard case in  a touring car because of risks from a side impact.  The CRC pan car should be fine with a non hardcased lipo.

From the photos that jody did awhile back, you can see how much lead has to be added to the car. I am taking some steel and making a ' [ ' shaped bracket that gets screwed onto the chasis that will protect the lipo from a side impact, and will allow a smaller amount of weight to be at the outer edge of the car. The majority of the weight will be closer to the center line of the car.   The car needs to be balanced left to right, and I am trying not to modify the weight balance (front and rear) of the car as well.

I think its time for someone to re-design  the touring car to have the battery down the center line of the car, similiar to the new crc pan car.

Shawn.

i don't think that it is possible to have the battery in the center for tc as the drive belt or shaft is in the way.

thanks for the offer to mod my car, i will keep that in mind as we get closer to the season and when i know what kind of packs i am able to get my hands on.

It's definately possible, as it's been done in off-road 4wd cars of the late '80's and early '90's vintage.

Geez, I thought you guys would have remembered that Losi had/has a Touring Car with the battery down the middle of the chassis!

Dave, AKA Limey had/has one.

From Losi's website:

"The JRXS Type-R is one of the most tunable and customizable chassis you can find. It features a ton of tuning options, including roll center changes, wheelbase, anti-squat, pro-dive, shock angles and more. The JRXS Type-R also features a ton of cool accessories and features too. The JRXS Type-R has been designed with the latest generation of Li-Po batteries in mind, such as the Team Orion Platinum Li-Po. With this in mind, the JRXS Type-R includes two new battery trays, one for sub-c batteries and one for Li-Po packs."
