Title: VTA popularity
Post by: bigmatty on August 06, 2015, 05:07:48 PM
A question to you all, is VTA a popular class here on the island? I havent seen much of it in my limited participation with IROCC but I am sure there has been mention of it on here from time to time.

Hey Matt,

IROCC has a tendency toward the "core" type classes.  Snobs - all of us.  We run VTA once per year, at our big winter race.  There are usually 2-3 heats at that event as it's somewhat more popular with the out-of-town racers.

Definitely not saying it can't be run here - anything to grow numbers is a good thing.  However, at this moment, aside from Neil, I can't think of another VTA car in the club.  Maybe J-Rod?

I think you would have more luck with f1. I think there are 4/5 of them.

Also, 1/12 season isn't far away.
