Shawn68z:

Hi Blake, for stock TC, is there a club motor/tire combo for this year? Is it to late to order 21.5, and batteries?

Shawn.

Hey Shawn,

There is no official club motor or tire.  That said, most electric touring drivers bought the carpet racing club motor last fall so I'm sure they'll be running those this summer.  I can get you one if you like, otherwise any 21.5 is good.  As for tires, again it is open, but I am bringing in a bulk order of Elexis brand asphalt tires which are popular around North America for outdoor racing.  I can put a set aside for you when they arrive if you like.

Finally, I can order you a battery any time you like.  Orders are placed on Sunday nights, so let me know before then for the quickest delivery.

Thanks,
Blake

Blake:
Hi all,

Parking lot cleanup is this Sunday, May 19th at 9:30AM.  If you're available, please come on out and help with some sweeping and cleaning.

See you then,
Blake

Blake:
Big thanks to everyone that came out to clean the track today.  It was filthy and now it's looking pretty good.

We refined the outer straightaway wall to make it super quick and easy to lift out of the garden in smaller pieces which simply slide together in two seconds with no fasteners.  Rob is also working on much quicker and simpler connectors for the outer pit wall which will remove the horrible hidden wing nuts.

This Sunday we'll examine the inner pit wall to try to condense eight pieces into four, and try to remove the aluminum brackets.

All this means that the only tricky part each week is building the inner straightaway wall and sweeper.  Haven't figured out how to improve that just yet.  Put on your thinking caps.

We also designed a new layout for 2019: a hybrid of the Reedy Race layout a few years ago featuring the long 180 off the sweeper, but with a whole new left side which we've never done before in this parking lot.

The first race day is this coming Sunday, May 26th.  See you there at 9:30am for track setup!

Blake
