We're just a few days away from Speed Weekend 2023!

We'll be building the track on Friday around 6:30PM, depending on when the parking lot clears out.  Please come out to help.

See ya there,

Speed Weekend 2023 Recap
IROCC's Speed Weekend 2023 is in the books and it was a great event once again!  Massive thank you to all the racers that attended.  The support we received from the RRR club was phenomenal and really makes this race.  The long distance awards go to Jason Mardon and Luke Pittman, both coming from the BC interior which was awesome to see.

Shout Outs
-Big thank you to Tom Younger and Gorden Wood for calling a lot of the races and keeping the schedule moving all weekend.  We also leaned heavily on Brian Ashmore to organize the raffles and door prizes.  Finally, thank you to all the club members that came out on Friday to build the track!

Canada Hobbies
Our event sponsor, Canada Hobbies, stepped up in a big way to provide door prizes and two separate raffle prizes as well!  Thank you so much to Allen Jurisic, Dan Pudwell, and Sam Lowden for supporting our event!

JT and Luke
John Tsang and Luke Pittman were the winners of the two Canada Hobbies raffle prizes.  Both these guys decided to pay it forward by donating their prizes to randomized lucky recipients.  Thanks very much guys!  I also wanted to acknowledge the hours of time Luke spent helping many other racers on the Saturday night practice session and throughout the weekend.  A lot of racers will have picked up new knowledge because of this.

Racing Notables
Once again we saw some great racing in all classes, and most of them came down to the A3 main to determine the winner.  Congrats to Tiny Welch for prevailing in the deep TC Stock class.  This one went to A3 with a few possible winners, but Tiny got it done.

It was awesome to see Avery Baird's Nitro TC debut go so well.  He bumped out of the B-Main after a very close 20 minute battle with Dan Lester.

Jesse Galang bumped Rob F off the top spot in USGT this year but it came down to A3 to finalize.

There were lots of great races so check the videos and results below.

Check out this awesome video of the Speed Weekend 2023 Nitro main created by Allen Jurisic of Canada Hobbies.  It really gives a good view into how a nitro main plays out, from the start, to the racing, to the pit stops.

Thanks Al!
