Kyosho Mini Z Cup

This is Ray from Team 1 Hobbies in Vancouver.  Just to let everyone know of the upcoming Kyosho Mini Z Cup to be held at the New Westminster Quay Market.  This is going to be the biggest Mini Z race this year.  More details about the race will be posted soon but for now I have posted the date and the location.

Kyosho Cup Race at New Westminster Quay Market

Just to confirm some details of the upcoming race:

There will be 5 Qualifyings - 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday morning

5 min Qualify
20 Min main Race

FRIDAY Nov 2 Practice 6.00 PM TO 10 PM
SATURDAY Nov 3 Practice from 10:00 AM TO 12:00PM. Qualify from 12.30 pm - 4.00pm
SUNDAY Nov 4 Practice from 10 AM TO 11.00 Am. This will be the last two Qualifies. Main Race starts from 12:30 pm - 5:00pm.

Classes

- Stock beginners
- Stock GT
- Modified
- F1

Rules

For stock class (both beginners and GT):

- No lithium batteries
- No pan car bodies
- GT bodies or other bodies with wings are preferred.
- Stock fets only (3010 fets or 3004 fets).
- Must only run with hand-out motors (We will hand out stock motors from Kyosho to everybody. At the end of the race the motors are to be returned).
- Motors must stay sealed. That is, no opened or modified motors allowed.
- Motor mount must be stock or any other mounts must work with stock motors (because the stock motors don't have screw to hold the motor, you can only use stock rear end).
- Pinion must be run 7 tooth only. Please make sure you have 7 tooth pinion with you.
- Only rubber tires are allowed.
- Any modifications EXCEPT electronics and motor modifications are allowed.

For modified class:

- No lithium batteries
- No pan car bodies
- Any motor allowed, except brushless.

For F1 class:

- Stock fets only (3010 fets or 3004 fets).
- Only stock Kyosho motors or x-speed motor are allowed.
- Any modifications EXCEPT electronics and motor modifications are allowed. Motos must remain in stock form (stock or x-speed motors).

We will check the cars after race before trophies are handed out. Any violations will cost you elimination from the race.

Please also be advised that there will be only 1 minute mercy minute and race will start on time (no exceptions). If you are not ready, it is your own responsbilities.

We will offer fet upgrade service for those who wish to bring their cars up to new kyosho spec. The cost of this upgrade is $14, this gets you 2 new 3010 fets and free installation.


Fees:
$30 per class. $10 for extra class.

We will have trophies for all classes and TQ qualifies. Winners of each class will get a brand new ready set mini z car, 2nd to 5th place will get prizes. There will be prizes for everyone as well.

Update on the rules: AD BAND is NOT  
 allowed to run in the stock or F1 class.  It is allowed only in the modified class.  

And also, we are planning to use a plastic molding on each corner  
 so the cars won't stick to the RCP track.  

There will be lots of prizes to hand out
. So in the end every one will get something.
