Good Club Race!
Thanks to everyone who made it out for racing last Sunday.  The weather was perfect and we saw a lot of clean, competitive racing.  Tom Y continues to be the racer to beat in TC Stock with another strong performance in the main.  Shoutout to Adam B for a well earned podium finish in the main, just 0.9s behind Brian A in 2nd.  It was nice to see Dan L pick up some pace in his electric TC this week, and Jeff G set a personal best with some excellent qualifying runs!

Next Race is Sunday, Aug 28
We are racing again next Sunday August 28th, and we will take the following Sunday off (Sept 4th).

Fun Racing Again!
Thanks to everyone who made it out for racing yesterday.  We had a good turnout and some really close racing.  Shoutout to Carter H for some impressive performances in TC Stock!  The five Formula 1 cars looked great out there, and some of them are getting very quick!

Reminder that we're vacuuming the indoor carpet today (Mon Aug 29) at 6:00PM at Eagle Ridge.  Please come out to help, and bring a vacuum.

Next Race is Sunday, Sept 11
We are taking the Labour Day weekend off, so we'll be back racing in the parking lot on Sept 11.

Exciting Racing Again!
Thanks to everyone who made it out for racing on Sunday.  We had a smaller turnout which meant for a more relaxed race day.

Big shoutout to Afro for some great qualifying performances, and for making the bump into the A-Main!  Awesome work!

Ryan Tiny Welch joined us from the Lower Mainland and put the pressure on the TC Stock field with a really quick car early on.  Craig R would reset TQ in round two, and then Adam B upped the ante in the 3rd round, setting the overall TQ as he continued his good stretch of top performances.  In the main Tom Y worked his way from P5 through the competitive field and secured another win this summer.  It was really fun to watch all these racers battling it out all day!

It was nice to see Chris C joining us for his first ever club race with IROCC.  He caught on to the asphalt thing quickly and ran some very consistent laps.

In general we saw a lot of clean runs and patient driving, save for a couple of incidents!  Keep that up as it will be needed when the track shrinks for carpet racing....

Final Summer Race, Sunday Sep 25
There are too many people away next weekend, so our next and final summer club race will be Sunday, September 25th.

Nice Summer Wrap Up!
Thanks to everyone who made it out for racing yesterday.  The weather was perfect and we enjoyed a fun day of racing again.  It was great to see Matt Sladich back on track after a 10+ year break.  You could see him getting back into the rhythm more and more each round as the muscle memory woke up.

Shoutout to newcomer Cooper W for successfully completing his first ever onroad raceday!  Cooper got more and more comfortable each round and did exceptionally well for his first time on the track!

Big thanks to Chris C for helping us out with the Nitro RD work.  We threw him into the fire with zero experience, and zero training, but all was good once we got the microphone volume turned up!

All in all we had a fantastic summer of racing in the parking lot; lots of new (and old) faces, lot of smiles and laughs, some heartbreak, and tremendous racing.

Huge thank you to all club members, in particular those that go above and beyond to make the club better.  Whether you're helping out on a non race day, building and contributing infrastructure, showing up early to blow the track, showing up early WITH the track, participating in the daily RD and organizational duties, or assisting a new racer with their car, it is all appreciated.  And without everyone pitching in together, we don't have racing.  This is what it means to be part of a club like IROCC.
