Lipo battery voltage
« on: July 07, 2010, 03:08:03 PM »
Good day!

Since we will be checking lipo battery voltage at Speed Week, I was wondering how firm is the 8.40 volts? I just charged one of my batteries and even though the charger is set for 8.40 volts, it shows 8.42 volts on the volt meter.

Thanks, Neil.

Hi Neil,

No worries.  I will be instructing our Tech Team to allow up to 8.42V or maybe even 8.44V to compensate for variances in charges and voltmeters.  I posted 8.40V because that is the official ROAR rule.
