Came out today for the first time to check it out, well done everyone there was some great racing! Just wondering what those cars were? Looked like two TC classes maybe three then off road. What would be the make of the cars in the slower TC class? New to RC but would like to join everyone just don't want to purchase a car that can't run there. Thanks!

Way to go Gerry TQing two weeks in a row! Congrats on the win 🏆!

Tom

Jay, the biggest differences between the fastest cars and the slower cars are how they are maintained and how they are driven. All the brands can be competitive in the right hands.

Jay, our primary class is 1/10 Electric Touring Cars with 21.5 brushless motors.  The most common car in our club is the XRAY T4 touring car, anywhere from the 2014 model up to the 2021 model.  It's often best to find a used setup to see if you like it.  There have been a few used cars changing hands in the club lately.  You could ask around at the track, or ask around on our Facebook group for the most eyes:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/www.irocc.ca

Racers are grouped according to experience and lap times to make it fun at all levels.

Club racing this Sunday July 11

Track setup will begin at 9:30am.  All racers are expected to help with track setup.

The club will have some Team Powers rubber tires available at the track for anyone needing TC tires.  The price is $50/set all in.  Note that these tires are not mandatory - it is just a convenience for our club members.

See you Sunday!

Another Great Club Race!
Thanks to all the local racers, up Island racers, and Lower Mainland racers who joined us today!  Once again we had some great racing in all classes.  It's great to see some new people getting involved with the club.  I've been super impressed with how quickly they have been getting up to speed.

Big shoutout to Craig, Rob, and Joe who helped us make this raceday happen even though they were not racing themselves!

Next Race Day is July 18th
We're racing again next Sunday July 18th.

Thanks,
Blake

I want to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome as a rookie and especially Adam, Brian and Blake for taking the time to help me feel at home with some great advice. See ya all next week!

Great Turnout!
Thanks to all racers for joining us for a great club race yesterday!  With almost 30 cars in Touring Stock we're seeing some very competitive racing in that class.  Sportsmanship has been excellent as well which is great to see.

Our new racers have been making big strides in car control and driving consistency, and our top drivers have been treating us to some thrilling finishes each week.

We are racing again next Sunday July 25th, and we will take the following Sunday off (Aug 1st).
