Pro10 Tires

Hey, folks.

Here's an update for you on Pro 10 Tire availability as well as recommended compounds for each:

1. Corally- Completely in stock and the tire of choice for many EU Pro10 Racers. Brian and I used these last year and they worked well. We used Gold Rears and Goldstar Medium Fronts as a good starting point. If you prefer the natural compounds, Green Rears and Blue fronts also have a good track record (Jaco Foam on Corally white or black rims) but high wear characteristics.

2. JACO - We have an order submitted with the distributor. However, they are re-releasing the tire on the Prizm wheel which is excellent due to its characteristics. At this point I understand that they will be white in color and we should have them by our April start. They are not yet listed on inventory. As far as preferred compounds are concerned, racers are all over the map depending on the type of outdoor racing surface. Some use Greens all the way around, green rears, blue fronts, aqua rears and your choice of fronts depending on style. Others go for the exotic compounds such as white rears, black fronts, or the good standard of Gray rear and Purple fronts. So, quite literally, all over the spectrum.

3. GRP - We will be placing special orders only and will not be listing the tires on inventory. These are Italian tires and tend to be more expensive than the others based on our research so far and we also note that distribution is slow. EU drivers like Magenta Rears and Purple fronts. but again, they are a harder tire and work well in high traction situations.

Personally speaking, I am going to try to play with the Corally foam for a while since they are available in black and white rims and both Corally and Jaco foam are available from Corally. I'll also be trying the JACO Foams, but likely more so as the season moves on.

Forgot to mention, guys: I can't possibly bring all tires and all quantities to the track so please make sure you select yours from the T-Store. Alot of guys were hitting me up at the track last week so I will bring a few extras, but not everything. Thanks.
