Quote from: "RYY"My buddy is now looking for about 400 OBO for his kit that he won in the last raffle.  All your friend will need is a 27t motor, racing tires and away he goes but I am sure you could set him up. PM me if you are interested.....

Thats WAY more than I'm looking to spend.  The last used car set up was Rob's TC3 for $200 (which included everything except the charger - including tires, motor and battery as well) - that more in my price range.  Since your buddy has a new car but missing the $80 tires, $50 motor, $100 battery I'd probably offer him $150 but it sounds like he still wants way more than that.  I'm sure most people's advice would be to flog it - this is turning into club X-Ray and the bottom is falling out of the TC3/4 market....  best of luck though with that car.  I was over at RC Pit Stop and they had a used X-Ray for $250 - all carbon fiber which makes the old school plastic cars look kinda cheap and junky....

Robert:  I'll definately take you up on your offer though - I'll be sure to keep the car in at least as good a condition as it leaves your hands..... are you sure you can't make it out to any more races this summer?

I hate to disagree about the price, due to the fact that new is new no fatique from racing or crashes I have seen Rob drive and he is as gracfull as they come but again racing is racing.  By the way my buddy is now wanting 350.00.

Well to each his own I suppose.  Of course you are gonna have to spend another $250 (battery, tires, motor) to get the parts to get this one going.  Sure its new but its also a RTR which means its the most basic model with the cheapest parts - doesn't have any of the hop ups that come with a kit.  $600 could be more wisely spent by someone starting off I think.
