How do I become a club member
« on: September 12, 2005, 08:30:36 PM »
I have been to the track a few times and practice but never raced yet.  How do I become a member and get a T-Shirt and stuff?

Thanks
Ken

We'll be having a big meeting soon (date has yet to be determined, and the meeting will be announced as soon as we come up with a suitable date) to discuss the upcoming indoor 1/12 scale season.  There will be a number of people new to 1/12 scale racing that will be coming to that meeting, and we will be discussing IROCC memberships then.

It's great to have you abord!

We never want to discourage anyone from showing up and racing.

We also don't want to discourage anyone from paying membership dues either.

The membership fees are a bigger deal during the winter season, since that is when we tend to run with a club motor, and traditionally your dues go towards your motor.

You'll find out more about the membership process at the big 1/12 scale meeting coming up soon.

Slightly off topic - is there kids sized shirts available?  If so what would the price be?  My rotating pit crew keeps asking me about them.

While I'm asking - I think the club shirts are a great idea.  I know a lot of time and effort has gone into getting the designed, made, etc.  Personally I think the grey is a little drab.  Even if we were to do a black shirt to hide all the Nitro grime and do some white lettering on it I think it would look better than grey.  It would be really cool to see us all at Vancouver next year all wearing a deep red or blue club shirt.  You know like a team shirt or a pit crew.  It looks really sharp.  I know we have all the members with the grey and we probably have a whole pile of them left over but maybe we should think about getting a little color in the shirts on the next run?

Oh and if I haven't caused enough grief already....  I saw Daryl's IROCC sticker on his truck.  Does the club sell those or are they a custom jobbie?

Well I do have some contact with few shirt company's taht do both screen printing and embrodery.  I could see if they could do  i thing it would be nice to have a   golf type shirt.  Heck would even wear while golfing.

Actully if some thinks this a good Idea we could start planning  a set.  Like still give the T-shirt with the membership but also have a diffent sort of t's and golf shirt to purchase.

Maybe we could get one that say "I'm a RC widow."  to give to our wife or girlfriend for x-mas.
