Title: 18th scale trucks/buggies question
Post by: naossoan on July 21, 2006, 01:28:27 AM
Hey everyone I'm new to the forum and I'm looking to buy an 18th scale car. I heard the RC18's are the best...but I've heard good stuff about the kyosho half 8 and duratrax mini quake. In your opinion whats the best/most reliable.

Also I've got a savage and im lookin for bash buddies/racers in victoria, I just moved here 2.5 weeks ago and I dont know anywhere to go for bashing. Advice would be great thnx.

for the savage bashing, id go to a skate park(when its not to busy)  or the bmx track, next to the veledrome in juanda fuca, dow the hill from the juan de fuca rec center.

i also have a savage.  just have to reset the carb a and im good to go.

I was out at the BMX track last night with the E-Maxx....  the Bowties hook up great - its pretty dusty there right now.  Not a biker in sight either.

As for 18th scale I would probably go with either the RC18 or the Mini T.  Personally I have an RC18 and it a VERY tough little truck.  Definately need to get a set of new pins for it though.

You should come and check out the on-road club on Sundays.  We have a few guys with off-road stuff there.  If you wanna race on-road is where its at in Victoria.  We've got an awesome club and everyone is helpful and friendly.
