Title: Pro10 Parts/Tires Order(s)
Post by: RC51 on December 12, 2007, 02:34:01 PM
Hi, Guys.

Thought I'd start a place for the Pro10 guys to talk about/order parts etc if you'd like. To get things going, I'll be ordering the following items at the end of the month. Jump in if you'd like to add anything or if you would like any of the following items. Please PM your requests:

1. 48P Spur gears
2. Front/Rear Tires
3. Front end parts: the Corally F1 and Pro 10 have the Associated front end so it's easy to access everything from bearings to axles to arms/shims etc.

Et voila!

Hi, Pro10 Guys.

For those of you who are interested, two things for you:

1. Max Amps now has a 6000mAh saddle pack LiPo with optional detachable hard case! I will be ordering one up to try it out.

2. PROTOform has agreed to do a special post-production run of the Peugeot 905B High Downforce body for T-Bang. They will be shipped on 24 Jan!

Tx.

Thanks for the info.

Is that a 235 mm body?

Do you know of any good GTP bodies that are 200 mm?
Do you know of a body that is in between 200 and 235 or is it one or the other?

Peace

Jody

Hi there.

Yeah, 230-235 mm seems to be the standard wide version. The narrow 200mm version is the alternative with nothing in between insofar as I know.

Bolink used to have a 1/10 PORSCHE 962 GTP and I think Serpent may have one in the European circles, but they're very difficult to come by.

Protoform had one but it's out of production, Jody. Asking them to reproduce a body is not so much of an issue when compared to the likelihood that they still have the mold. That's the real kicker. One of the best bodies out there was the Toyota GT1 but HPI told me when I inquired, that they threw out the mold!!!!

Thanks alot

Frank is in the process of making a new 10th scale pan car. It will be based on the pantoura somewhat but will be adjustable from 200-235mm. We run alot of 235 cars but CRC knows of a few other clubs also reviving the class but they are not all 235mm.

I think as long as you have a decent body a 200 mm car could compete with a 235 no problem.

Yeah, I had heard rumors about that last year. Great designing the flexibility into the car for both widths.

I spoke with Dale Epp of Protoform and he was aying that he'd love to see a race full of the narrow 962 he developed. It may be the case that they still have the mold.

I'll ask for a complete list of the GTP molds still in the Proline warehouse and see what is possible. I'll pass you all of the details to provide to Frank.

Hi, folks.

The Corally tire order has arrived! For those who are wondering, here's what I'd recommend:

a) they have many of the familiar color compounds used to ID JACO. I have used Green/Yellow rears, and Purple fronts with good luck on Carpet. I'd recommend Yellow rears and Purple fronts on Asphalt to start.

b) I have tested ALL brands and I must say that I prefer the Corally foam. I like Gold rears and Goldstar Medim fronts. for both Asphalt and Carpet although I am inclined to try Goldstar Hard fronts. I will continue to try the JACO, though, until I hit the happy hook-up point.

Big Daddy will be adding these to the online DB shortly! In the interim, if the PRo10 racers would like any of these before we put them out to the client base, shoot me a PM and I'll deduct that qty from the DB.

Thanks.
P.

Hey, Pro10-ers!

Two things for you.

1.  That tire order is half gone! With recent announcements from major manufacturers, they are a hot item and will likely be in short supply in the months to come as the cars are sent to market. If you are looking, the word from the manufacturers is grab them now.

2. The bodies have arrived! We've had a fair amount of back orders and pre-orders with them and half of the entire shipment is being couriered over directly to Corally today once I package them up. PM for your quantities (these are the regular wide 235mm versions and not the narrow/SS 200mm versions).

Phil.
