Title: JACO Rubbez (Mounted) for Summer
Post by: RC51 on February 06, 2008, 11:49:56 AM
Hey, IROCCers

I will be taking pre-orders of JACO mounted Rubberz for the summer while at the track this weekend. This will be a one-time order with the possibility of another in mid-late summer depending on supply and need. There is a significant looming supply shortage of mounted Sorex, RP and TakeOff tires for the summer. We have been in communication with all suppliers and they strongly suggest that we order now such that we can have our supply for April. For IROCC we have negotiated our best price yet with CanWest RC. $30.00 for a full set of mounted rubber tires.

Asian suppliers such as RC Mushroom etc will put you at approx $25+ plus shipping and other charges (at today's exchange rate) where appropriate for an unassembled set if you are into saving a $1 - $2 and mounting your own. Best of luck with that if you are into it. If you choose to go the T-Bang route, it also allows us to price Nitro Shoes at $12.00 per set, and similarly low costs for LiPo etc (if approved) and NiMh batteries, brushed and brushless motors (if approved), and Pro10 bodies (if approved as a class).

We have access to:

**JACO Yellow (24R)
**JACO Green (28R)
**JACO Blue (32R)

The price is based on volume so please come with your estimated order quantity for each. For those of you who are new, early and late season works well with 28R with 32R during the warmer months.

If the volume is up, we can also offer Pro10 Peugeot 905B bodies to racers (if approved) at $20 per body: 20% lower than list and at Stormer Hobbies - the only two locations carrying reasonable quantities of the body at present.

Post questions if you have any and please spread the word to your friends, newbie racers and others who do not check our site.

Thanks and see you at the races!
Phil

Basically the smaller the number ,the softer the tire.So if its cold outside you would use a softer tire compound.ie;28. in normal temps ,you would use a 32.     SHANE

Hey, everyone.

The club tire order will be available for pickup next Saturday 23 Feb at the track. Please make arrangments for payment/pickup then. Good thing that we did this early as our order drained 80% of on-hand stock at the Distributor. We may have to wait for Yellows (24R) but let's see what is in the shipment. It will be shipped to us today.

PM if you forgot your quantities.

Yikes!,  24's!! I thought these were outlawed in the "unwritten" rules. You know, in the the spirit of racing as Blake would say. Maybe I am just out of touch with electric touring?

Peace
