has anyone thaught of having a best appering car contest on the last outdoor tc race weekend. maybe have everyone put on the fancy wheels & bodies during lunch or something, and get the fans invoved in it and have them judge it
hopefully this suggestion wont be as controversial as my other suggestion....lol
just something i thaught of because i thaught i herd some one talkin about concours bodies at edmonton
Might be better to do that at the beginning of the season, not the end. I know my body is in pretty bad shape and I won't be painting up a new one so close to the end of the season. I'm looking around for 1/12 scale bodies now.

i'm sure next year when we hold an official race,we will have a concours
Do you have to race a concours body for it to be elagable?
I believe the rule is that you have to run the body for at least one race if you enter it in concours and win one of the top three spots.
for the contest i thaught of, you wouldnt have to run the concours bodies in a race (but if you want to you can) because the body im making now is turning out to good to race it.
if we run roar rules you will have to race it.one race wont ruin it..
The point of running it is so that one body can't just be kept to be a concourse killer at every event it goes to. If it's a great body, than fine, it can win a contest. But it's life should be limited so that it can't keep on winning time and time again. If you have to run it, then there will be a limit on how much effort you put in it as well, and what you can do with it.
For example, you could do a way better job making a car look cool if you added a whole bunch of details (cockpit, etc.), but this sort of stuff would raise your center of gravity and decrease performance.
Basically, the rule is to encourage race cars to be entered into concourse, rather than a car derived from a static model that can move, and to encourage innovation and new models in the contest, rather than the same ones time and time again.
Personally, I couldn't care less since neither motivation exists at our club level events, but that's the intent of the rules.
i didnt know those were the rules thanxs for the insight
