Title: Inside my reciever.
Post by: BCbud on November 12, 2009, 11:11:47 PM
Good day!

I was working on my car and I could hear a sound like something was rolling around. After moving the car around a bit, I came to the conclusion that it was inside my receiver. I pulled from my car and opened it up. There was a lot of rubber, some small broken clear plastic bits and a very very small ball bearing inside that was what I could here rolling inside. I was quite surprised to see so much junk inside.

I just want to know if this is normal and should it be cleaned out on occasion?

Thanks Neil.

Yes, normal, and it is a good idea to clean them out periodically.

Junk inside receivers is a common cause of interference, which goes away once the extra stuff is removed.
