I am a CRC man through and through, but XRay's new release will do nothing but good for the 12th Scale class.

A person might as well wait for the angled servo mounts to come out. Bump steer on this one must be nasty!
Hey Mick, is this the one Korgae wants you to try?

i wouldnt think so, the tie rods look almost perfectly flat, and with the little amount that a 12th car travel, probably wouldnt notice any..
looks like a decent design ..

It's about the same as the old Associated reactive caster front end, which is what started the whole angled servo mounts thing in the first place.
I ran both with angled mounts and flat with that front end and never noticed a difference, but that doesn't mean having the correct geometry isn't better. A bunch of things that in and of themselves don't make a noticeable difference can sometimes add up.
i would have thaught that havin them flat would have been better, seems like there would be more bump steer with a angled tie rod, like the crc cars have....
the only thing you need is to make sure the ackerman angle of the tie rod are correct. I run my car with a flat servo but it was created to work in that way. like the new prostut from CRC was created to use an angle servo. my .02
Hey Daryl,
Yep, thats the one :)
Mick
looks pretty sweet. I like the body post adjustment. How often have you wanted to rise or lower the body a 1/2 hole.
Merry xmas ladies. You guys are just getting out of bed, but XMas eve is just about over here and we re going to bed.

The tie rod has to be angled as it is in the CRC (copied from Associated) design to eliminate bump steer due to the camber rise. It's obviously not that big of a deal though, as the new CRC front end has one servo mount setup, but three different camber rise settings.
The new cars are now in stock @ Canwest R/C
CND retail is $289.99
Car looks really good, The flat servo idea has been used for the last few years by most of the team drivers from various teams, apparently it makes the car smoother in and out of the corner because the servo is flat and low.. just passing the info along.
Thanks
Korgae.
P.S. The 10th link car is on its way as well.
