Title: Set ups
Post by: Jtg.73 on September 09, 2010, 01:33:50 AM
Wondered if I could get some suggestions for set ups on the CRC cars. Such as spring rates, fluid viscosity. Generally what guys are using that works.  Just the stock stuff that comes in the box? Or other?

Thanks!

Hi John,

The stock settings work very well.  My setup is mostly stock:

Black front tires
0.50 front springs
10deg caster blocks
Two caster shims in back, one in front
Regular "short" front upper arms
Camber adjusted for flat tire wear
Basically zero toe in/out

GreyLo rear tires
White side springs
Standard gold center spring
30 weight oil in center shock
CRC thick (blue cap) lube in tubes
80mm rollout
3.5mm ride height

A few setups here:

And, here is a direct link to Brian Wynn's Vegas winning Gen-XL 17.5 setup from 2009:

Thanks Blake! I'll start with yours because I know it works on our track.  Obviously driving is a big part of it.  So if I set my car up the same as yours and it doesn't work all that well, it's most likely the driver.
