Good question. I didnt forget. I tries to use one of those led body post marker systems. They suck. Don't buy them.  Not enough light to go through the paint.  I suppose if I could have plugged the led's into a 110v socket with out blowing everything up there would have been enough light to see through the paint!

I had to turn the car and the body upside down and mark everything from the inside. Worked quit well actually.

How much voltage do you use Gord?  I hooked it up to my 2 cell lipo.  Maybe 9V would be better?

I use around 6.5+ volts but it also might be how much paint you have sprayed on
I have used the LEDs on black with mo problems

nice work mick, I just about had an acident with a full size Bentley today.

nice idea leaving the spolier clear. Save the 12 scale body for me when its used up, so it can go on my wall of shame in my (now Craigs) trainspotting bathr$oom downstairs
