Title: D Main Video November 13
Post by: Jtg.73 on November 14, 2010, 12:51:42 PM
Fun as hell!! Although I can see at one point in the heat of the moment I was frustrated by my hand slight hand gesture. Not to be taken personally! Right away I noticed most of my crashes were pretty much self induced.  During the race it seems you want to blame everyone else for taking you out. Not so.

Should be interesting to compare the video to my best lap time.

I have most of a season of IROCC 1/12 scale racing on tape at home, from 2 camera angles (2 cameras per night).  We'd drive to Duncan, race all night, go for pizza, then re-live racing by reviewing the tapes from both camera angles.  More than one dispute of who took who out was resolved during the after race review, re-winding to see the action time and time again!

Those were fun times, getting home around 5 AM.

Good day!

I must say that was the most fun I have had in a long time. I was fighting with the handling of my car all night and slowly dialed it in. Even though I am one of the slower drivers out there, when racing with others that are close to the same skill level (and a little luck never hurts) makes for some fun racing and that is what it is all about!

Last night's racing was excellent.  ALL mains (D, C, B, and A) featured great races, and great competition.  There were highs and low for various people, but at the end of the night, smiles all around.

This is EXACTLY the type of atmosphere I hope we can acheive this coming Saturday when we have our Washington State guests in the house.

See ya then,
Blake

I must admit that was the best race I have had in a long time !!!  For those that remember what my motor looked like at the end of it , I have seemingly repaired the damage and it is running again. I wont know how well until Sunday (fingers crossed ) but I still have my spare if needed. :o

I'm finding this extremely helpful.  I thought I was an OK driver.  More like I'm a bit of a hack!  LMAO! :o

Didn't realize it at first, but I have watched this video about 20 times now.   I'm going to video more of my races to critique myself.

Anyone have video of the start of the C Main?  Would love to know if the huge pile up at the start of the race actually happened the way I remember it, or not.  :-\
