I would seem that more than one person has become somewhat disinterested with racing and this web site. With myself being on LTD., I look forward to reading all the posts in all the different categories to help pass the time of day. Sometimes I have something to contribute and sometimes not, but all the same most of it is entertaining. But alas not much going on in the last little while so I had to start something myself. Just for entertainment purposes maybe reply to this post and let us all know why that is. I know it will help me from being so bored.
Please know this is not a slight against anyone I just thought I would stir things up a bit. Ta for now Don :o :o :o
Good day!
Well it seems that all my stuff is failing, first it was my laptop then the steering rate knob on my raidio and now my digital camera dosn't work. My laptop is done, I have sent an email to Horizon about the knob and I found my old camera that I can use. I was quite surprised at how small the conection point from the steering knob to the trim pot is. Here is a link to some pictures of the failed parts (befor my camera failed lol).

Hey Don
I have a "what up?" for us all, and it isn't against anyone in particular, but what is up with the numbers at racing. I get there and you pull up then it's like we set up and wonder if anyone else is going to show up. I do hope we remember that we pay for that every weekend. Not to guilt anyone at all please believe me but do some of us remember the barn racing nights. Getting bumbed every other weekend for a function. This could happen again if we are not careful. Please believe me I understand the starting a new family and house purchases and the economy but it would be real great if we had a night like it used to be not to long ago. Could we start off setting our days off so we at least average a decent number lol I know that is nuts but how do we get our club race numbers up. How do we start getting back our core. I am just putting it up there for some good old chatter on our forum. :o ???
I will be there this weekend. I am currently trying to save money for a house so the racing has to be down sized and more weekend work needed. This is why i raced 4 classes for speed weekend to try to get my fill. Sometime the simple things need to sit for a while.

I have to agree and I have to be also at blame for only coming out every so often. Not that I don't want to come out and race.Sometimes one just can't and other thing have come up. I think there need to be some kind of excitement. I know we have a point system for bragging rights. that all dandy and all. I say lets have a bit more fun. with the points system, I mean I you win the season ( be it different for each season {indoor/outdoor} and for each class there may be.
Then you get a #1 for next season and down wards also the top TQ of the season could get a A beside the there number 1A , if one didn't race the previous season you get to pick a number out of a hat that would be complete random, this way have a remember how we did last season and see if were doing better or worse. we could at the end of the season and give out what number one would be for the next season. just an Idea.
hope to be there this sat.
I knew it would all go to hell after I moved!
There's a decimate lack of numbers when I can finish 2nd in the a main...lol
I think we should start running tracks for 2weeks in a row,not ony does it cut down on set time, but it'll also help speed up the procces of spreading Around the thick black line left over from s.w
There we go Don know we have something to read during the day lol. And my personal opinion, it's cause Haddow moved away listen to his voice lol. ;D ;D
Funny how this works. I have decided to take more of a focus on my professional life, therefore I had to give up on some of my other interests. I decided to make racing the only "fun" thing I would continue to do.
I understand though. I completely bailed out 2/3rds of the way through the summer season to take a Hiatus like Mick. I know some guys get frustrated and walk away. That's what I did. Now that everything is working, I 'm having a blast.
Looks like we are in a lull. Hopefully it won't last too long. I'm not going anywhere.
Hey all,
What up?
Sorry I missed you last weekend but I got sent on a last-minute trip to the US East Coast for work. I am currently sitting in a prospective client's office on Long Island (just East of Manhattan). I've been to Long Island before but I didn't realize that it is exactly one-tenth the size of Vancouver Island. And guess how many people live here? 8 Million! That's a lot of people on an island one-tenth the size of home.... I guess that explains all the Expressways, Parkways, and Turnpikes! Oh, and it's sub-zero here and they are expecting 10 inches of snow tonight. Oh to be home...!
I'm looking forward to racing on Saturday. See ya there!

Hi Guys!
I had intended to compete for most of the Winter season this year since I hadn't been able to compete in outdoor/indoor for the last few years, but my mother became ill around the end of October and was in the hospital for about 3 months. She is home now, but requires allot of our (my sisters and I) attention and care. So I really can't commit to being away for 8 hours on the weekend. I miss the weekly social gathering with you guys but life just gets in the way sometime, quite often for me it seems.
By the way, my slotcar track is still forsale: www.wantmoretoys.com

It's tough once you get out of the routine. My life seems to get more rather than less busy. I miss racing though and I'm hoping to make it out to more events. I figured I'd take the weekend off after Speed Weekend then go to the next one..... of course something came up. Hopefully this Saturday but there is always something threatening the "optional activities".... that's why the "routine" works so much better. Well at least I got to use that battery I bought last year for at least one race before it puffed up from lack of use/abuse....

That's quite the setup inside a mall. I shure like the 1960's muscle car bodies.
What a great idea. We should do a weekend race in the mall to generate some exposure.
