Today I was truing some tires for the WGT car and to knock them down to 55mm from new just hurts.... :-\

Try taking them down to 51mm... that's really painful.  Especially if you have a lathe that can do it in one pass.

I have one set I did like that in one pass....almost cried. But they are for the Mains. The huddy can take a new tire down to the rim in one pass if I set up that way, With out slowing down very much....I was using a 12V car booster battery for power

I remember that.. That was a tough day.. All that useful foam in the trash
