Title: Motor Below Pod Plate
Post by: BCbud on February 28, 2013, 12:43:35 PM
On both my 1/12 and 1/10 pan cars the motor is a little bit lower than the pod on the sensor end. I thought the motor mounting bulkhead may be bent but I removed it and put it on a mirror and it seamed fine. Does anyone else have this with there pan cars?

Mine was bent but bending back didnt help
Motor sag.  Used a 1/8 axle shim on bottom motor screw to bring it back
Up to level.

If you shim tge motor from the pod, it'll mess up your gear alignment.. You'll chew thru spur gears..

Well then spend $20 on a new motor
Plate. Had mine shimmed most of the season with same spur. Depends how tight you mesh too
