Post by: Blake on March 26, 2013, 02:55:12 PM
2013 Emerald City Classic One-Day Race, Seattle WA

Hi all,

I will be taking my van to this race.  Here are the quick details:

Race Date: Saturday, April 6

Classes:
Stock 1/12th
Modified 1/12th
World GT
Stock Touring
Modified Touring
Scale Spec
Formula 1
Novice
(See: http://seattlercracers.com/specsrules/ for class rules.)

$20 per class
Table and chairs provided
Lunch provided for all racers

Travel Plans
I will take my van on the 5PM ferry on the Friday night.  We'll arrive in Seattle around 10-11PM.  The track opens at 7AM on Saturday, and the qualifiers start at 10AM.  There are 3x qualifiers and single mains.  When the mains are done on Saturday night, we'll head toward the ferry, but depening on timing, we may have to take a cheap hotel in Richmond that night.

With five people in my van, the ferry and fuel costs will be about $60 per person, round trip.

*** We can probably squeeze six people in the van if we had to.  We don't need to pack tables/chairs.

Anyone else interested in joining in on this trip?  Just to be clear, you shouldn't need to take any time off work (unless you work on Saturday).  We'll leave after work on the Friday night on the 5PM boat.

I really wanted to go, but the wife is working all weekend. So unfortunately I am required to watch the kids all weekend...  Maybe next time.
