Hey all,
I've very happy to announce that Canada's own Keven Hebert from Team Associated will be attending the Victoria WCICS race this year. Keven is a class act in our industry, and he's one of the quickest onroad drivers you'll find in North America.
HUGE thanks to Keven and Associated for making this possible!
Thanks,
Blake
hooooly what an opportunity! good endorsement from him could mean 300 entries next year ;)
though.. maybe ill leave the 1/12 at home <_< lol.
wow thats awesome.. he is seriously good..
Wow :) That's going to be a real treat to participate in a race even with a driver of his level.

must have been that awesome race poster design that attracted Hebert/associated
Yeah, I think that's what turned the tide on it... thanks Jody! I have to say, Associated is pretty awesome with their promotional programs. They gave us that brand new touring car a few years ago to raffle at Speed Weekend summer, and now they're sending Keven out here. Very generous.
Blake
if associated is bringing a gun to the fight then TeamCRC better send its crew from NY!
That just means we have to continue from last year and put on the most professional event we can so they keep sending him. Seems to me we have the makings of the premier canadian onroad event. If we can interest him in coming back next year, who else might show up? Thats exciting.
For me he is just another face that will murder me horribly buuuut good opportunity to see and learn from a pro in action. And. Some competion for kody this year ha.

Yes, and with everyone's help, that is what we will do.

I missed last year's event, but to compare it to 2012 this event has made huge strides forward in terms of overall execution and presentation.
On a second note, I learned more about pan car setup this weekend than I have collectively over the last three years, and this personally was the best weekend I have had in a long long time. Awesome. Thanks all who made it possible.
Thanks to Darryl for suggesting I find a loaner car and actually race instead of just watching.
Big thanks to everyone that volunteered their time and effort to make this event happen. I really enjoyed myself this weekend, and learned alot about driving. Now I just need some more practice, and I can put that new found knowledge to some good use. Look out A-Main.. ;)
Cheers,
Shawn.

Neil.
Ok sent off a big thank you to the sponsors that supplied the door prizes, as well with photos of the track and pits, hopefully they will do the same for us again next year. Also maybe they will pass the word on our race as well?
Here's a video of the 12th mod final. Shot it with my cell phone so I apologize for the shaky spots.
