Are we going to be running a second class this weekend?
Shawn.
I think as always this depends on entries and attendance. I'd just pack all the cars you like and just make it known at registration what you would like to run.
I'd bet more for mod than wgt though.
The schedule shows mod. But the schedule is not really followed so just bring it all.
I know I will have my mod car and I think Mike will have his also.
I'd be down for mod. If I can get a csr together. Just built my new stock car. Wasn't gonna build the second for a bit but ill see.
Mod eh? Well, I did buy another car for MOD... But its not together yet... Cameron cant' make it, so maybe I will drop an 8.5 in his car and try that..
Shawn.
Does anyone have a 2s life rx pack i could borrow? i want to see if my hobbywing 2.1 derivitive will work in single cell mode for more than a few blips on the bench. the esc works as expected with my 1300mah 2s life connected but wont power up the motor with the booster power connected.
i have the tekin to fall back on if not btu my hobbywing 3.1 is going to be a mod car only device and shoegooed in now lol.

Is your voltage booster putting out power?
Did you disconnect the RED wire from the ESC to RX'er connection?
Is the ESC On?
If the ESC worked with the battery, then it will work with a booster if its connected properly, and the booster is working.
Shawn,.
apparently it will not. booster powers up rx and allows steering. esc recognizes full throttle movment but doesnt power the motor. i think the life tricks the esc into thinking a 2s source is connected and allows it to power the motor due to the 6.6 volts. this isnt a hobbywing esc but hobbywing oem with 2.1 software on it.

did you try removing the red wire out of pigtail so your only plugging in the black and white wire with the booster installed
GW
trust me I have done everything possible to make this work in single cell and the only thing that does work is 2s life pack for rx. of course, the only one i have is 1300mah and way too big and heavy for the car. i just put a tekin in there for tonight. prob get a second hobbywing 1s now that it is roar approved officially. the older hobbywings dont really fit well honestly lol.
