Can someone please recommend what kind of servos should I buy for the 1/12 car? Something Airtronics maybe?

The Airtronics 94145 is an excellent choice. It is quite widely used within the club. You should be able to get a new one for just under $100.

shaver shop had them for 99.00

JR Z3550 is also a great servo for 12th scale
