hi admin. please check to see if live chat is working or not.
thanks
it is working for me.
maybe it is our firewall from work. it was stuck at connecting to server. i will have to check out the wirewall from work then. do you know what traffic i should let in and out for this to work?
It's never worked for me either.
it has never Not worked for me?
Tom try it on a machine other than your Apple II Plus. Or maybe it doesnt work on green or amber monitors? Kidding.
In reality I have never talked to anyone except myself in the chat room, kind of relaxing though. I know it does work for some people because I have seen people in there (and tried to leave the chat room before they could talk to me.)
PS when I am alone in the chat room I like to just cuddle.
Apple ][ Plus? What's that? Something more modern than my Comadore 64?
To be honest, I tried it with both my work machine and home machine, using the same browser. It seems to get farther at home than at work, which again likely indicates some sort of firewall issue. However, the smiley that is supposed to appear at home never appears.
I had it working fine for me...
But then again I was running it on my Commodore 128.....
I can copy it to a cassette for you and you can giver a go on your Atari 2600?
Uh that would be cartridge for the Atari 2600. I've got like four or five of them so maybe we could set up a network at the track. I think typing with the joysticks will be a little difficult... but hey if Nospoom can drive with his funky controler I'm sure we can figure it out....
Not that off-topic can't be fun, but part of the issue is that the chat program is designed to only try to do something if your web browser tells it that it's IE. I can configure my web browser to tell the server that it is one of several different types, and it only pretends to try if it says it's IE, otherwise it doesn't bother to do anything.
In no case does it work.
So much for standards compliant web applications.
Hahahahah hells yes should get a generator to power a tv and some oldskewl racing games for those who dont need to fix....... Pull out the mario kart or f-zero and kick some ass lol...

does this have something to do with the live chat .........................i didnt think so!
This was supposed to be about computers that live chat doesn't work on. I would think most machines being discussed would qualify. . .
Well these were the things we were gonna chat about but the chat wasn't working so we just defered it to here...
