Well I made it up to Quesnel (or however you spell it). I found the town's internet connecton and I must be quick as this text message will likely take up the entire Northern Caribou bandwidth....
During the trip up we made a pit stop (OK, one of many bladder induced) at Cache Creek. I have a question for Tom - have you ever been to the Dairy Queen in Cache Creek?
I'm not sure if there is a hobby shop in town yet. I was looking for the phone book but I think that's what the problem is - I should probably be looking for something along the lines of a pamphlet rather than book....
Don't get me wrong - its not like there is nothing to do here. I just have to recharge the batteries for the RC18.... :)
Well TTYL all you hard-working-but-dedicated-enough-to-check-the-IROCC-web-page-at-work-every-five-minutes people.

Maybe. Any particular reason why?
I have some not-so-fond memories of the one in Princeton, since that's where I stopped immediately prior to busting 10 bones as a result of a momenary lapse of reason.
I'm not sure if I've ever been to Cache Creek. If so, it was when passing through, which perhaps resulted in a pit stop similar to the one you described.
Well inscribed on the bathroom wall said:
"Tom from Victoria took a 'poo' here" [Edited for content]
so I though maybe it was a message to let me know you had "passed" through the region..... or at least "left your mark"....
(and no I don't have way too muich time on my hands..... ok, maybe...)
Kurk, there is an off-road club in Quesnel. They were the proud owners of IROCC's original AMB system which was sold off in the down days of IROCC in the mid 90's. Last time I tried to update the software, they still were the registered users of our original program that went when we sold the AMB. I think the clubs name was Quesnel Dirt Burners but I'm not certain.
