Title: LRP Quantum 2 Speed Control
Post by: korgae on November 10, 2005, 01:20:54 AM
I have a spare Q2 that I no longer need.

It wil come with new power wires, I have shortened the lead wires ( perfect for 12th scale) to the RX, but can include a new harness for anyone that needs longer.

I also have the Pwer cap for it.

Make me a reasonable offer, needs a good home.

Thanks

Korgae

Don't be offended. It's the Christmas shipping season and he's totally slammed right now.

Hi Guys,

Mick is right, I am a very busy man right now. No offence to anyone.

With that said, i am looking for $150 shipped for the speedo. (Q2)

If anyone would like a cheaper priced speedo I have a brand new LRP 7.1 that I will let go for $100 shipped. This is brand, never mounted in a car.

A great speed control for anyone looking to race.

Thanks in advance

I thought my offer of $125.00 was more than "reasonable" for a "used" Quantum2. Especially seeing as that is about the equivalent price(exchange rate adjusted)  for a "used" Quantum2 on eBay. I know, I've been watching them for months.

Having said that, there are 4 brand new Quantum2's on eBay right now at the "Buy it Now" price of $125.00US.
Which by the way, at today's exchange rate, according to XE.com works out to $149.150 Canadian, plus shipping.
Some of us in the Club have bought from this eBay seller before, and have had not a single problem with his shipping.

In other words, I think at $150.00 Canadian, you're asking a bit too much for a "used" Quantum2.

But of course I'm open to a counter offer! :-)

Regards,
Nick

Those were my inner thoughts ;)  They seem to typically go for $75 to $100 USD and if you use esnipe or something to that you should be able to get it cheaper if you don't mind waiting....  I was personally thinking if I could get it for $100 would be a good deal - not enough to get into a bidding war with you at $125....

Hi, Thanks for your feedback. I am sometimes out of touch with the price of used goods. I don't always look at EBAY as a ref... aybe I will starrt.

I remember when these speed control sold for $300.00

I will accept your offer of $125.00.

You can PM me for payment details and shipping.

Thanks.

P.S What would be a good price for the brand new LRP 7.1 Speedo?

I also am looking @ selling my M8 Limitted Edition Radio set.

Comes with- Aitronics Rechargable batterpack, one brand new never used Aitronics Syn RX and matching 75 band Syn Module.  Can you suggest a fair price? or if anyone is interested please let me know.

Thanks

Cool, thanks Korgae! PM on it's way.

Yeah times change eh? I too remember when the Quantum2 was around $300. Canadian, brand new.

As far as your LRP 7.1, currently there is only one listed on eBay. It is used, and is now selling for $40.US, and has 4 days to go.
Checking back through completed eBay auctions, there was a used 7.1 that went for $78.US, another used one that went for $55.US, another used one that went of $61.US and a brand new one listed for $119.99US that didn't sell.

If I didn't already have an M8 with DSM,  I would certainly be interested in your Limited Edition.
There is 1 LE on eBay right now. It doesn't have the synth module or synth receiver and is currently selling for $127.50US with 5 days to go in the auction.
The last completed auction for an LE, with the DSM set up, not the synth, was snapped up for $200.US with "buy it now".
Another completed auction for a M8 with the Novak synth system went for $169US.
There is also a listing for an M8 plus DSM module and 2 DSM receivers, currently priced at $202.US with 5 hours to go.

I would think a good price for your LE with the synth module and receiver  would be in around $200. to $225. Canadian.
I'm assuming that this the the 75MHz synth model, as I'm not sure that there was a 27MHz synth version.

Basically, it comes down to whatever the market,  and demand at the time dictates.
I'm sure there must be someone in our Club interested in a synth M8!
But having said that, with the popularity and lack of frequency hassles with DSM, a normal  75MHz band radio, whether it be synth or not  is sorta "Old School" by today's standards.

Nick
