I am winning one for them this saturday.
Just in case you all "forgot", I am going to be on a Rememberance Day parade today. One of the "perks" of being military.
We go every year to the Memorial Day service at the Memorial Park in Langford. Unfortunately this year the PA system wasn't working so we stood in the rain for over an hour without really knowing what was going on because you couldn't see or hear anything either.
Regardless it was least we could do to remember the men and women who fought for us in far more appalling conditions...
my ship did Memorial this morning
we are curently alongside in mexico
it was what we culd do for the memory of all that sacraficed there lives so we culd be free.
see every one on the 19th take care.
My Grandfathers both fought in WWII and my Great Grandfathers in WWI. I think about them and all their commrades all over the world. We could not enjoy our fantastic lifestyle with out their supreme sacrifice. Both my daughters attended ceremonies today and yesterday and they will remember throught their lives.
We have no idea how good we have it here in Victoria, best little city in the best province in the best country in the entire world.... Lest we forget that the next time we get upset about ANYTHING.....

A Pittance of Time (http://www.terry-kelly.com/pittance.htm)
MPG version (http://www.army.gc.ca/chief_land_staff/remembrance/English/video.asp)
I love how the "MPG" version (presumably trying to mean MP3 for the audio file) is actually a Windows-only WMV formatted file. . .
