for sale is 2 atlas chassis's. 1 that i ran for half of the past summer, it was handling pretty good when i swithed over to my xray. got upgraded aluminum steering bellcranks, and custom made alluminum top deck and shock towers as long as the stock ones, the front shock tower got broke when a corner marshall steped on it, nothin else was affected, chassis in good condition, nothing else ever broken. not to many scratches on the bottom. it was never run before i got it, so it has only been run for about 2 months. freshly rebuilt rear diff and shocks, comes with the original box and instructions. with a set of foam tires and a body. Hey Jarrod,

Haha, I was just kidding when I said that I'd be sending a "collector" over to your house.  You can pay me when you're able to; there's no real rush.

Try lowering the price and somebody might buy it. I got one with controller for only $225US and have seen them for even less since I got mine.

I dont know what version they are. They are both Mercedes CLK bodies.

They come with (not installed) new bearings (2 sets), new modified motors (x2) and the radios. They also have rechargable aaa's in the cars but no transmitter batteries.

call me if you want to see them. They both work fine and have only an hour or two on them.

Hey Jody, just to help you id them, the mr01 has the motor behind the axle - rearmost. The mr02's motor is in front of the axle - more toward the center of the car.

is that the only difference

I think you can get a rear mount motor in the MR-02 as well.  I believe its the suspension and possibly how the batterys are mounted...

There are several other differences as well, the chassis for example is an obvious one. I can show you mine next time we have the chance.

Hi there.

The deifference you point ou between the MR-01 and 02 is not quite accurate, Jim. The MR02 has both versions RM for Rear Motor and MM for Mid Motor. The RM seems to be the most popular and easiest for finding parts. MM is OK but body choices are realtively limited comparatively speaking. I have both versions and you can convert from one model to another quickly, too. Both have different handling and tuning characteristics. I hope this helps. Ciao.

So what are the differences between an 01 and 02?

The ESCs are quite different.  I have an MR-01 and the ESC does not feature brakes.  Rather, it gives you instant reverse which is not nearly as nice for racing purposes.  The MR-02s I've borrowed have braking just as our regular R/C car ESCs.  Then, if you really need reverse, you can access it by pressing forward on the trigger twice.

hey jody do yours have brakes, or direct reverse?

If Jody's are the same one's he bought a few years ago and ran at Barry's then they are MR-01's. MR-01 has two batteries mounted on each side, MR-02 has all four batteries across the bottom. MR-01's have a greater  turning radius, MR-02 has less but is a smoother ride out of the box. Some MR-01's have reverse with no break and later ones have separate reverse and break like all the MR-02 models have.

I dont know for sure, no brakes likely, just reverse if I remember correctly. I dont really use brakes in 10th scale or 12th scale electric so I am the wrong guy to ask.

Or brakes in Nitro although he "claims" it was a runaway....

Post by: haddow on January 04, 2006, 01:07:33 PM
No I actually use brakes in nitro, except they are turned way down so they can not lock-up, even when the car is still turning a bit.

brakes are for wussies.
