use this thread to post bashing times for nitros
I was thinking of goin to the bmx track today maybe around 1 or so to get my truck setup, does anyone want to join me, if theres a better time where more people can make it out, let me know
bring any car you got. hopefuly it will warm up a bit. and keep from raining.
i am now looking fo a set of aluminum nuckels, for the front, i broke 1 one my first time out. :? :(
Ah yes the parts graveyard... I was out there on Saturday bashing with the buggy. Its too much fun but its aweful hard on the old vehicles... I read your thread today about going out bashing but not until around 2:00 and I was on my way out to fly the Beaver. Took the buggy and the RC18 out in the gravel parking lot at the Tech park. The buggy absolutely rips out there in the loose gravel and the brushless - Dave you should bring the HPI/brushless out there sometime - would be fun for a high speed course... I'll have to gear down or run 6 instead of 7 cells as I was thermalling out there. Could be the poor air flow inside the buggy though...
i noticed that no one wanted too go to the track, i went to the park by my hose and it just kinda fell of a fot and a half edge and rolled the knuckle ritew off, it looked realy strange how it broke. but know i have an excuse to upgrade to more aluminum bits. hehehe :D
did you find the dirt jumps to the left of the field?
my hpi seems to be geared a little low but even with the sealed innerbody allowing almost no air flow everthing runs cool and it has never thermalled out on me.
how did that plastic mesh sunk in to the gravel work for traction?
i was full throttleing the rc18 up fort st today at about 3:30  hail to the 3 cell lipo.
Didn't find the dirt jumps - just rippin it up in the parking lot and up to the flying field.
The B3 buggy rips in the gravel/plastic grate - stay off the green stuff - its like ice for the poor buggy. Really handles well at high speed in the gravel though - nice spray of gravel in the high speed corners - stay away from parked cars!!!
The RC18 goes pretty good even in the green stuff - a little slick but way better than the B3. The 30W oil is a little too stiff for the short suspension travel and the high speeds on the gravel... great for the BMX track though...
