After months of sole searching and consultation I have decieded to hang up my carpet knife for the next little while. The stress brought on by performance(or lack there of) anxiety and the some times negative chee associated with my poor driving style have been to much for my meditation and herbal remedies to overcome. I will be back just not this weekend/

yep i think if your not comming to racing because of your performance...............your looking at it all wrong! so wrong!its about getting better and having fun doing it..........it took me 2 years to see the B and now on my third year im in the A and most importantly i have a blast kickin ass and takin names.................. i think you should be just trying to drive for fun not for any other reason the rest will follow......look at jody! for someone who has yet to really even finish with a decent qualifyer this year! and he still tries!............. and he been at it longer than i have! :wink:

Ah grasshopper - life is perspective. Life is what you choose to make of it. If you choose to allow circumstances to frustrate you they will.
Why do you come out to race? To beat the A Main drivers - B, C, D? Personally I enjoy getting better than when I started. I like to continue to build on my skills. Not every week is a step forward but I choose to let the frustrations teach me rather than rule me. I do enjoy the competition but the most fun I have is a close battle with whomever the battle last the longest and is the closest with. Rob and I had an awesome race last weekend - overall in that heat I lost two laps in the qualifier and would have place much better than I did but I chose to focus on the great battle we had rather than the goal I didn't achieve.
If its racing you dislike then hang it up. If its some frustration work it through - its a skill that will serve you well in life....

Dude this club has gotton so insanely competitive that the middle of the A down through the mid-C are all within seconds. Taking time off will not help, it's all about seat time, the more you have, the better you'll get. This is my problem completely.... Trust me when I say you can buy your way into the A...practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice and more practice.
