due they make lipoly battery for 12 scale?

No.  The voltages are all wronge for 1/12.

the voltages are fine at 7.4. There is just no accepted motor. a 45 turn brushed would work but that is so far from mainstream it will never take hold. A 27 turn brushless would be perfect I think. I don't mean some stupid equivalent to brushed whatever that means. I mean a 27 turn brushless with 7.4 volts would be cool. capacity of a 2 cell battery in a 12th scale may be a limit. However I also believe this is only a perceived limit as I am sure we could race with 2500 - 3000 mAh just fine with a lipo / brushless combo.

There's a thread on RC Tech about some people trying 1/18th lipo/brushless solutions, but nothing "perfect" yet.  The big hurdle is making the smaller cans fit where there was a larger can before.

Comes down the rules. 4.8V nominal voltage is the standard.  its to bad a replacement cell with the qualities of a Lipo could not be created with a compatable voltage. (1.2, 2.4, 4.8).. I have looked at the A123 cells but they are 1.7 volts each.    Besides,  it might be alittle difficult to fit my TrakPower 4900's on to my 1/12... Might have to tape it to the outside of the body.
