Thank You Joe Fantetti!

HUGE thank you to Joe Fantetti for rescuing me last night after racing!  My van ran out of gas southbound on Highway #1, between Helmcken and Admirals - right on the TOTALLY BLIND corner by Portage Inlet.  The shoulder is about three feet wide there, good for a Smart Car... not so good for my van.

Anyway, picture Joe standing in the MIDDLE of the slow lane fueling the van from the club's jerry can.  I'm running back around the corner, toward Helmcken, waiving frantically to get cars to slow down as they come around the corner.  Some guy in a BMW SUV flat-spotted his tires as he came to a screeching halt as the road started to jam up.  Frick, it was nasty, and so so close to a pileup.

Anyway, I'm glad Craig carries a cell phone now, and I'll be forever grateful to Joe!
