You wouldn't believe what these guys are doing up there. Matt and Tania, who own the shop, are great and are really crazy about the hobby. They have a small off-road track, neat little indoor track for Assoc.18R(who would ever think you could traction roll on polished concrete with rubber tires) and a rock climbing area all in the same place. They are really getting some local support as well, so if anybody is in the area you should check it out.
Sunday is off-road day- 1/10 buggy, Traxxas Slash, Assoc. SC10 and a run what you brung class.
Thurs. is Indoor- Assoc. 18R stock and mod.
Computer Lap counting system indoors but manual system outdoors.
Drop in and have some fun, they even have rentals for outdoors.

I've heard all about it from my old teammate.

What does Muncher know about it, he never even comes out and socializes with us anymore?

Yeah, I had heard from Ron Halford that they had a decent racing scene up there.  It is impressive what they've got up and running in fairly short time.

It's a shame that their onroad club and our club aren't more "compatible" with respect to racing classes, but I can understand where they're coming from with the 18R car as a good way to get new blood.  Now, if we can only convince them to upgrade to 12th Scale or 10th Scale cars for their onroad scene!

the 18th scale is quite interesting.  to say the least.  when I was down east 2 years ago.  the club in my home town runs only 18th scale,  I wish I was able to pop by.  The club in Halifax area runs  tc opean,  12 scale 15turn hand out.  my 27 turn was just as fast. and 18r too.  watching these little cars go on a small track as theirs was a blast to watch.

Actully it is too bad that we don't have more time during the night to add a class like the 18th scale.  as it is a very low cost way for people to get into the hobby.

just my .02 LOL

Don't be surprised to see some of them come down for 1/12, there are 4 brand new Ass. 12R5's up there.
