Looks like it will be back on the approval list as of July 1/13.

Will this change our ruling for Speed Weekend?

We just received word that the ongoing lawsuit between Trinity and ROAR has now been settled.  In short, there appears to be no monetary exchange, and both sides have agreed to what they believe is in the best interest of the racers. Starting July 1, 2013, ROAR will reinstate the Trinity D3.5/17.5 motor and allow it for all ROAR sanctioned events up until Q1 of 2014 when the new Trinity D4 is released.  Trinity has guaranteed to release that motor before March 30, 2014.  You can read the entire press release below, or see the attached image below for the official press release from Trinity.

After further thought........

Personally it will not affect me as I do not have one but it was announced quite a while back that it would not be allowed and I feel that ruling should stand for this race. That way racers that  do not have them do not have to try and buy them with this short notice.

I really dont think it will make a big difference either way. People have had maby months to replace their d3.5s so i dot see aby reason to change the rules this close to the race. Besides, blowing a corner entry will lose more time than any advantage the 3.5 may have can give you.

Blake

The Speed Weekend rules will remain as previously posted months ago.  The D3.5 17.5 will not be permitted in TC 17.5 Blinky.

Think its pretty late to be adding a class. If you want, I have most of a WGT car sitting around.

valk

I have an extra 17.5 is that was the dealbreaker for you.

Blake

And I have a 4.0 or 10.5 if you want to run TC Modified.  The D3.5 ruling should not be a surprise as we set the rule a couple of months ago....

J-Rod, you should definitely enter your NT1 into the Nitro mix.

Fingers crossed for decent weather this Sunday....
