Anyone have a line on some free old carpet? (or any floor protection idea)

After paying a couple hundred dollars in cleanup last year, the Mary Winspear Center asked that we cover the floor of the stage area and the extra room area.  We can do it with tarps if it comes down to it, but free low pile carpet or mats would be a lot better.

The stage is roughly 17' x 40' and the extra room is roughly 30' x 30'.

Anyone have a line on something like this?

I may have something at work but it may be expensive but I may be able to talk them into donating its padded floor cover with a slight sticky side to protect hardwood floors and keep you from slipping and it has a protective spill top layer. it comes in a 4ft by 100ft roll

tarps I would be worried about liability on someone slipping or tripping.

looks like you would need about 16 rolls to do it. I know we only have close to 8rolls. I am thinking if it cost a few hundred then its still cheaper then this material.

Hey Gerry,

After thinking about it again, we probably don't have to cover the entire floor.  We just need to cover where the chairs are because it was the chair legs that ground foam tire dust into the floor.

So, we could probably get away with two 4' strips on the stage (each about 40' long), and then some strips in the extra room.  So, I think we could get the coverage we need with just two of your rolls, or maybe even less.

What would that cost?  Or, would they consider donating two rolls?

Thanks,
Blake

My boss sounds interested and will let you know 3 rolls would be fine I think. I will let you know when I hear back from him
