got to find a blade for my weedwacker. anyone know where i could find such a device?

Dave, usually dependant on the type of line trimmer you have, blades are available at many outlets(Can. Tire, M&M Power, Home Depot, Western Region Rentals and Sales).  You need to make sure your weedeater will accept a blade before you go and purchase one.  Renting may be a better bet, the abuse that the blade puts on the average line trimmer is not worth it.

 Sounds as though you are just a few minutes from my place! Would a ride on lawnmower do the trick, is the ground fairly flat and rock free?

 Seeings how I'm off Lindholm Road (near the end to Kang) let me know if I can help.

well I spent a few hours at the location yesterday cutting in access from kangroo rd to the spot. Its wet 8O.

mike, the ground is kinda flat and I haven't ran into anyrocks yet, but its pretty soft and the grass is TALL, I'm not sure of the capatilbitys of a ride on mower, thanks for your offer.

After some pondering I decided to rent a Brush mower for a day or afternoon for the task of clearing the area for the track.

Thanks to Victroria Bathmaster for donating $100 for the equipment rental.

The only problem now is how to get it in to my GTI :roll:

thought I'd bump this tread

went out to the land today to clear some plans with the owner.

we have the 2 thumbs up

there will be a work day coming up soon to clear and remove the bush and grass.

that will be the day that I will rent the mower and we can get a better idea of how much work the dirt is going to need.
