Hi All you Mini Z fans,
I have pics of the track Chez Phil, and what a spectacular track it is. I just need the Doc to tell me how to post the darn things.  For all you interested in trying this, DO IT!! These little cars are great fun and you can bling them out quite a bit. Maybe there will be a few lucky racers with Mini Z's under the tree this Xmas.  I heard thru the grapevine that there may be a "big" Mini Z race coming up on the mainland soon. Keep it in mind. So if any of you hear from the good Doc, let him know to contact me regarding the pics.
Ciao,
Jim

Although I'm not "the Doc," I can tell you how to post your pictures in the forums.

The key is to find a webserver that can host your pictures.  If you don't know how to do this yourself, then try something like photobucket or some similar service.

Once you have your photos accessible to the world at large on the Internet, you just post using an Img link in your post pointing to the location of your picture on the server that hosts your picture.

The hard part is finding somewhere to host your pictures, and that gets easier all the time.

Thanks Tom, Phil has that covered.

Nice job Phil.  Mini Z nites are WAY too much fun !!!!  It is also great to see the Xmods out running. As you all can see the tracks are awesome and provide the racers with lots of "close" running.
A HUGE thanks to Phil for hosting the race nites. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be having the fun we do with our pocket racers.
Keep up the average work Phil........just kidding.....LOL

Hi there.

Thanks for the help tearing the track down last night, folks. I really appreciate it. It seems that the blend of the RCP and Brian's track worked just fine although it looks as if the XMods are having a challenge in occasion with turning radius. I've posted a few pictures to my website that you can access by clicking on the appropriate link below.

Before you look at the track layouts, check out my Acura NSX which is essentially an all-business RM (rear-motor) car with foam all the way around. It's a predictably smooth car to drive. Here's a shot of Brian's MR02 MM (mid-motor car) with all of the contributing paint colors from other cars. He's also running aluminum wheels which are nice with the stock rubber that comes with them. Lastly, here's a shot of my Ford GT simply because it looks cool.

OK, Here is what we started out with as a track design - I call it the Widow Maker for obvious reasons. Here's a different view. As you could imagine, you can guess what happened after we realized that the intersections were a little dangerous. Can you imagine these close quarters at the intersection? Yikes! In the end we ended up with a redesigned version after Brian took out the intersection and added a small bridge down at the end. Just enough to get all four wheels off the track and on again just in time to make the corner at the end.

All in all it wa good fun and the track possibilities are many. For those of you who have been coming out to the track, you definately have voice as to what you'd like to see by way of track design. Next week we'll have an even more exciting track with two bridges planned for transit over the RCP track straight! Should be fun. See you at the races.

Phil
