Hey all you mini Z fans. I just wanted to let you know that I am waiting to finalize a deal that will see us in receipt of a brand new high-end mini Z lapcounting system with 12 stock transponders and 6 F1 transponders with the new software. Bragging rights will soon be official! More to follow when I close the deal ...

Know racing, know life.  No racing, no life.

Check out these funky features! Kyosho bought Core so who knows what will happen, though. I called Kyosho and they are still working through a strategic plan on how to go to market:

1. The system supports vehicles travelling up to 50 mph.

2. Connects to your PC using a standard USB 2.0 (or 1.1) interface found on virtually every PC.

3. Multiple systems can be run simultaneously on one PC. Build large track layouts and speed traps to accurately measure the speed of your vehicles by using multiple units controlled by one PC!

4. The racer and vehicle data can be stored permanently inside the transponder. Place your car on any track running our system and the system immediately knows who you are and your car specs. No time is wasted on manual registration thanks to our patent pending "Place and Race" technology.

6. All races are stored and can be viewed later through the user interface.
An unlimited number of racers can compete at once. Graphs and statistics can be generated and viewed for each driver. Race stats can be uploaded to the central server for viewing by all racers at a later time.

7. Our patent pending "Real-Time Race" technology allows you to race against others at different geographical locations over a network connection. You can race people halfway around the world when using our system in combination with a standard track such as the quality tracks available from RCP-Tracks.

Cool!

Hey, all.

Just a quick note to let you know that I paid in full for the lapcounting system today. Product should be here next week. System plus 16 transponders.

Ciao.

It's heeeeerrrrrre (picture little Carol-Anne from Poltergeist). Just picked it up. Sweeeeeeeeet.
BTW, MiniZs are dropping in price significantly - almost 25%. Kyosho had a void in the market after stopping production for a while and when they started again the prices became more reasonable.

I'll likely suggest an XMod class, MiniZ/iWaver stock (X-Speed or stock motor) and F1.
