I noticed that the GFX charger was missing from Frank's pit, is the trend now to just use a little baby charger and save major pit space?

Also in teh video the Pro drivers did many warmup laps, instead of the usual peak and set the car down seconds before the buzzer. I have heard from a few IROCCers complaints of a flat battery before 8 minutes was up, but these Pro drivers were running pretty hard before the buzzer...interesting.

Yeah, I think Frank is using a red charger now (Thunderpower).  I can never really tell what's happening in his pit space though... since he employs the Thomas-style pit disarray setup.

Also, you're right, most drivers would do one or two hotlaps after scrubbing in their tires with their hands.  Although this hurts the battery situation slightly, it's outweighed by the knowledge of what your car is going to do in Turn 1.  Also remember that Pro classes were 10.5 motors, so I don't think runtime was an issue.

Haddow, as a side note, Frank was busting his gut laughing when he told me about the conversation he had on the phone with you.  Something about religous chanting playing throughout your town, and he couldn't hear you!  I told him that he'd better come out and say Hi next summer.
