Good question. I didnt forget. I tries to use one of those led body post marker systems. They suck. Don't buy them.  Not enough light to go through the paint.  I suppose if I could have plugged the led's into a 110v socket with out blowing everything up there would have been enough light to see through the paint!

I had to turn the car and the body upside down and mark everything from the inside. Worked quit well actually.

I have the LED system and mine works great. I use more the 6 volts and the leds show up just fine

How much voltage do you use Gord?  I hooked it up to my 2 cell lipo.  Maybe 9V would be better?

I use around 6.5+ volts but it also might be how much paint you have sprayed on
I have used the LEDs on black with mo problems
