what motors and speed control

super mario and myself are going into 1/12 with the crc ...any suggestions on motor and speed control and batteries and spare parts ..I have a friend that supports the crc stuff but not batteries and esc .

Any 3.7lipo and you will need a voltage booster or a receiver pack
some front wheel bearings as hitting the click track is very hard on them
some front arms 

this can get you started.

Yep, Gord has it right.  You will also need a mini servo.  Frank designed the car around the JR3650 so that is a good choice but most mini servos will work as well.

As for tires, a good starting point is CRC GreyLo (or Yellow) rears, and CRC Black fronts.
