Hi all,

Just a note that we'll be using the basic ROAR guidelines for weight and ride height:

Touring Stock, Touring SuperStock
Minimum weight = 1380g ***
Minimum ride height = 5mm
6 Minute Qualifiers/Mains

World GT
Minimum weight = 930g
Minimum ride height = 4mm
6 Minute Qualifiers/Mains

12th Scale
Minimum weight = 730g
Minimum ride height = 3mm
8 Minute Qualifiers/Mains

*** New ROAR 2011 proposed weight limit. We are anticipating that this rule will pass very shortly, and so we will take this opportunity to shed some weight from our cars.

Maybe a good idea to print this off and keep it at your pit table. Or post it on the wall in front of your table.    If everybody does this, they'll be posted all over the gym, saves a lot of asking.

Good day!

I just want to clarify if my 2-17.5 motors ar ok to use. I have a Orion Vortex and a Hacker and both are on the stock aproved list but not the stock 17.5 spec list, are they ok to use in this event ?

http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/brushlessmotors.php

Thanks, Neil.

Neil, you are fine.  The main thing we're looking at in Touring 17.5 is that you have zero ESC timing.  This keeps the field level for those with older, non adjustable timing ESCs.

Blake
Ok time to stirr the proverbial pot. What if the motor is available and has been submitted to ROAR for aproval. ::) Also I tried Andrew with no reply yet, does anyone have an open couch for Saturday Night. and is available for ferry pick up?

Hi Ryan,

The motor *should* be fine.  What is the name/model/spec?  And what class will it be used in?

And yes, we will have someone at the ferry for you at 8:40AM.  Not sure who it will be yet, but someone will be there.

Oh, and we can definitely find you a couch or bed.  I know John Bowker has some free beds.

Doh!!! Stupid truck!!  My dang truck done blowed a frost plug on Blanshard today. Yes rad fluid all over the intersection at Blanshard and Johnson.  So, I can't make it.  Sucks. Big time.  Normally I would just say who cares and fix it later but I need to have it fixed ASAP. I was in the middle of a project at work today when  this all happened which unfortunately also has to be finished by Monday. So there's my weekend. Fix truck, finish project.

Have fun!! 8)

You're the man J-Rod.  Yes, please drop the tables at B&G at 8AM.  You probably don't really need to leave for the ferry until about 8:15AM at that time on a Saturday morning.

Thanks!
