I know nothing about setting up a car, so that wont be a problem for me ;).
I am also looking for someone to pit with, but i don't really know anyone that might help, but hopefully I will find someone during the season.
Neil has offered to sell me parts as I break them, because he had the same car as me (I think), So I am ready to go for the summer as soon as Neil has finished re-building Don's car.Woo hooo!

Good day!

You can pit with me. I will send you a PM later as to what you will need to bring etc.

Neil.

PS Your car is coming along good, I will let you know when I get it done. I don't have as much spare time as I used to now that I have a new job so it is going a bit slow.

Ok, no rush, I don't need it till the season starts, I would like to get some practice though. I know I need to buy a set of drivers, but I know nothing else about that.

Thanks,

Not so mini anymore...

Big thanks to Rob Fantetti for securing the Juan de Fuca parking lot again this summer.  If you are brave, the parking lot is ours starting this Sunday.

We will try for a sweep/blow day next Sunday, April 10th and our first practice day will be April 17th if it's not raining.

Tom

How about Speed Weekend?  Do we have the parking lot for the July 9/10 weekend?

Yes, and it will be busy due to a BMX race on the same weekend.

Two Points Series:
This summer will feature two points series:

Ironman Series:   The Ironman point series will count points for every Sunday with one throw-away for every four races.  This is the same system as we've run for the last few years.
Casual Series:   The Casual point series will count points only on certain Sundays over the summer (roughly every two weeks).  There will be a total of about 10 Sundays in the Casual series and there will be 3 throw-aways.  This shorter series will allow racers with limited racing availability to compete for points supremacy.

Hi all,

Here are the dates for the IROCC Casual Points Series.  This series is designed for those that cannot realistically make it out to racing every Sunday during the summer:

May 8
May 22
Jun 5
Jun 26
Jul 9/10 (Speed Weekend, Double Points)
Jul 24
Aug 14
Aug 28
Sep 18
Sep 25

Got a question about this weekend. Its the home show, and the Park n ride is listed as overflow again.  Are we allowed to put signs up? Or, are we just going to changce it?   (providing the rain holds out. )

Put together WGT car,  Fix nitro car, try and find my TC.  Make new battery holder as my new TC battery doesnt fit the old holder, and solder some AAAs for an RX pack.... Or drink some more beer and watch the race.. Hmmm...

The long range outlook is for Rain the next two Sundays. lets hope it changes

WhoDoYouThink

It's a well known fact that Victoria's weather in April and early May stinks for doing anything outdoors. Every year we have this same discussion and every year people are seemingly disappointed when they find out that Sunday's weather is going to be wet.

Get used to it... again, it's too early for reliable outdoor racing weather.
