It gets dark fast now I had time for two packs then couldn't see the car anymore. Vince and Brian and  I were having a blast ripping around just had to make way for the SC trucks they are bigger than we are lol. Also may have to put reverse in the tekin as there are no marshals out. But this off road racing is addictive.

Sorry to hear Matt. They said they are going every second Monday just FYI.
Jarrod I know what you mean man. They race from noon till five on Sunday's. No setting up anything but a pit space is a nice added feature. Leave later from home and get home after at about the same time. We were talking to one of the members about buggy racing as they have more SC trucks and he said it would be great to have some buggies out so we will have to see next time they race if we can get some buggies to just go and race for a Sunday.

It's good to hear that there is some crossover to off-road, but what about convincing some of those guys to try out 1/12 scale for the winter rather than trying to run off-road vehicles indoors. It's like us not wanting to attend Kamloop's races because they don't support our races! I know I haven't been there this summer but it sure sounds to me like off-road is starting to pull people away from IROCC's on road series. I realize Aravan is going to try to make the crossover but what about some of the others.

Daryl, this is nothing like Kamloops. Kamloops wants everything and aren't willing to give anything back in return. I'm sure CORR guys could care less if a few IROCCers join their ranks. They're having fun doing what they're doing. Most of them are not hardcore racers yet anyway, they just want to get together and have fun. The few that are developing racers may make the move over to road racing in a few years, or not.... The interest of IROCCers in offroad is simply people wanting to try something new and offroad offers that. I'm bored stiff with road racing at the moment, so are some others. This isn't an Anti-IROCC swing, it's just people trying to find new ways of having fun in a great hobby. Theres room to do both...

WhoDoYouThink

Hey Daryl, where are you and Barb at the moment? Staying away from stormy weather I hope! lol

Currently in Halifax with a broken down fridge, hard to keep the beer cold. Heading to Lunenburg tomorrow, where I can hopefully get it fixed. We are sort of heading west now, will have to start pushing it soon.

agreed mick.. after years of racing onroad, with pretty much the same result.. usually steady a main appearance, and being beat by the same few people every week.. its time to try something new and get beat by new people.. its just alot more relaxed.. not havin to stress about every tenth.. and man does it feel good when u can nail down the woops section and make a clean double/tripple..lol

wasnt irocc an offroad club back in the day?

Yep. IROCC was an offroad club back in the beginning. For a bunch of years it was both an onroad and an offroad club but it's always been about having fun :)
